5K in College Station

Macey made it through her first 5K walk (ride). She didn't really know what to think, and why in the world we were outside with that many people. The weather was nice, and she had a great time. It must have been pretty relaxing for her, it only took her about 20 minutes to get to sleep. I wish that I could say the same, it took all of us (Grammy, Pawpaw, Uncle Justin, Me and April) at least an hour to finish the walk. As you can see, she looked pretty comfortable.

Macey also got a tour of A&M's campus from her Uncle Justin. She really enjoyed looking around at all stuff, and everyone that crossed her path had to stop and take a look at her!

First taste of Cereal!!

Well, Macey had cereal tonight. She did not seem to like it much!! She made some pretty funny faces while we were feeding it to her. I think that after we continue to feed it to her that she will eventually get used to it. She wasn't sure what to think about eating from a spoon, she just kept grabbing at it. I think she is already wanting to show her independence and feed herself, ha ha! Macey may not have gotten much cereal down but, at least we got some funny pictures!!

Macey's first piece of art!

At school Macey did her first finger painting! We of course have it up on the refrigerator! They do a lot of neat stuff with the babies at her school, which is one of the reasons that we chose this particular place. It may not look like impressionism to some of you, but it sure made an impression on us!

Macey's books from Chad

When Macey was born Chad gave her an incredible gift. Every month on the 20th, Macey's birthday, he sends her a new book! We have really enjoyed reading the books to her. We think that it is really neat that she is able to not only recieve these books each month but that they are picked out just for her by Chad. He may be in Omaha, but she is able to get a special gift from him and constantly be reminded how much her uncle Chad loves her and thinks about her!

Macey and her friends

Well, Macey has been able to play with some of her friends lately. We went to a pampered chef party at Nana and Pawpaw's house and that is where she finally met Jesse for the first time. It was so funny because I am not sure that they knew what to think about each other at first. It was really neat because when we sat them next to each other they just studied each other and would reach out to touch the other, they even held hands. I can see a long friendship in the works!

We also went to visit Alisha and Addison. Macey wasn't able to play with them for too long before it was bedtime but we were still able to grab a couple of pictures. It wasn't as much of a shock for Macey to be in the mix with them because they are used to not being the only baby around. They looked at Macey as if to say, "wait a minute you arent my sister!" For those of you that couldnt figure it out or dont know, Alisha and Addison are twins that were born exactly two weeks after Macey.

Watching Macey around all of her friends made me start to think of how much fun we are going to have in the years to come at birthday parties, slumber parties, etc...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, we have really enjoyed our first Valentine's with Macey! As you can see in the photos, Macey was all decked out in her Valentine outfit. We also took some pictures showing off the gifts that Macey gave us. She had a cookie made for her daddy and gave me the necklace that I am wearing. We hope that everyone that is reading this has had a wonderful Valentine's day and want you to know that we love all of you very much!!

Trip to the Zoo

Well, we took our first trip to the zoo with Macey. I can not believe how much she liked it! I am not sure that Macey saw many of the animals because she did a lot of people watching or I should say that a lot of people were watching her. She loves to be outside so she was loving riding around in her stroller in this beautiful weather. We had her sunglasses on for a while and surprisingly she really liked wearing them! It was so funny because we were pushing her around in the stroller with her glasses on and before we knew it, she was sound asleep but we couldn't hardly tell because she had her shades on. I put a picture on here with her asleep. I think that her favorite part was when we were in with the fish tanks, she probably felt right home in there! Drew took us behind the scenes of the tanks and gave us a tour. Macey really liked it back there with all of the water running and getting to see Drew.

Personally, I have never been a huge fan of going to the zoo, probably because it is always so crowded when we go. But now that I know that Macey loves it so much, I enjoy it much more. I have a feeling that we will be making many more trips to the zoo...
